Week 2: New Bills

The second week of the legislative session included hearing the first round of bills and debates on key agenda items.

One bill I would like to highlight is HB 1071, a bill that expands the Frank Broyles Publicity Rights Protection Act to safeguard individuals whose image, voice, or likeness is used commercially through artificial intelligence.

As AI grows and becomes more integrated into our lives, protecting our rights as citizens, including our image, voice, and likeness is critical. This bill ensures that you will be notified and consent is given, for AI generated likeness is used.
