Week 1: 95th AR Legislative Session

The 95th Arkansas State Legislative Session was gaveled into session on Tuesday, January 21st.

Although a short week, there was much activity as we headed into this season. Here are a few highlights from the first week at the Capitol.

  • Leadership of the 95th Arkansas Legislative Council was identified for the committee Charis and Vice Chairs.

    • Note: No Democrats were appointed to leadership in either the House or Senate.

  • Bill presented: Retail Convenience Store Act, on behalf of Chanell Moore who was shot and killed in a convenience store.

  • Spoke to a group of High School students about public service and AR government.
